Private Candidates

Pascals College is a registered examination centre with all major examination boards and offer a full range of examination services for GCSE, IGCSE and GCE AS and A2 (Advanced) qualifications.

As a private candidate, you can register for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC qualifications.

Examination schedules

We offer facilities for private candidates (independent or external candidates and for candidates educated otherwise than at school) for November, January (winter), March and May / June examinations. You can register with us to take an examination for the first time or for resits.

Coursework

Private candidates who wish to enter for the coursework option must be registered as a student with the college or with a distance learning organisation or be in regular contact with a tutor. The coursework must be done with adequate supervision to verify the authenticity of the candidates work and to preserve the integrity of the examination system.

Practical examinations

We offer practical examinations for GCSE, AS and A2 (Advanced) in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (Supplementary fees apply).

Modern Languages

Oral examinations in modern languages are offered at the college at the following levels and in the following subjects: GCSE, AS and A2 in French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish.

One-to-One Tuition

We offer one-to-one tuition in a range of subjects, as well as full time and part time studies. Private candidates need to ensure that they are fully familiar with the specification requirements and the format of the examinations. Details can be found on the boards’ web sites.

Registration

To register, candidates should attend the college in person with:

• Unit codes and option codes

• ID (passport required) or Full Driver's licence

• Passport-size photograph

• Unique candidate identifier (UCI) if they have recently been entered for or are retaking units

Fees payable by cash or cheque.
